Sculpture outside Vintages RestaurantThe first of the new Quantum class ships has arrived! She is Royal Caribbean’s most technologically advanced and green ship to date and she delivers the WOW in cruise ship design.
The new smart boarding system will efficiently allow you to be on board faster, once all of your information has been uploaded into their system before you leave home.
Once onboard, the new Royal IQ app allows you to keep track of your dining and entertainment reservations and will eventually give you access to the daily Compass, allowing for a paper free society while on board.
New to Royal Caribbean is Dynamic Dining. The Traditional main dining room has
been eliminated, and in its place thereWonderland Specialty Restaurant are four smaller restaurants, the American Icon Grill, Silk, Chic and the formal restaurant The
Grand, giving you more options to suit any palate. These restaurants as well as the Windjammer buffet on the Lido Deck do not have a fee for dining. The specialty restaurants of Chops, Izumi, Wonderland, Jamie Oliver’s, Chef’s Table and Divinly Decadent have a fee for dining and are worth a visit. Regardless of where you are planning to eat it is best to have reservations made well in advance to avoid disappointment.
The North Star Pod The North Star Pod raises up to 300 ft. above sea level offering breathtaking views, and is very popular. Another big hit is the bumper car and roller rink in the Seaplex area . At the aft of the ship is Royal Caribbean’s signature Rock Climbing wall and Flow Rider as well as the new attraction Rip Cord by I Fly, a skydiving simulator.
The Royal Esplanade on deck 5 is really the heart of the ship. It is bright, and elegant and spacious. From this area you can access the dining, entertainment and bars and it is a great meeting area.
Royal Caribbean has once again put the WOW into their onboard entertainment with the full length Broadway version of Mama Mia and the innovative Starwater show in the 270 lounge. This amazing production uses robotic video projection screens, aerialists, vocalists and dancers that make this show worth reserving in advance.
The Robotic Bar on the Royal Promenade is entertainment in itself. These dancing robots mix up your favorite beverage and can dance as well.Robotic Bar on the Quantum of the Seas
The theme of this new ship is “What Makes Life Worth Living” and this is reflected through out by the art work on board.
This ship has a lot to experience and by planning ahead you will be able to make the most of your vacation.
The Quantum is currently sailing out of New York and will head to her new home port in China in May. Her sister ship The Anthem of The Sea ® will debut next spring with the WOW features that were rolled out on the Quantum.
